    Overview

    This is an original replacement remote control of the Non-Smart Carro Home DC motor ceiling fans. The Remote has all fan functions and comes with a wall mount bracket. 

    Note: Fan will require powering off and resetting to pair with a new remote control.

    • Non-Smart units only (Does not include Wi-Fi Pairing)
    • Adjust fan speed, light on/off/dimmer, reverse direction, natural breeze 
    • Simple to connect and replace existing remote
    • Only suitable for Non-Smart DC motor fans
    • Not for use with other AC motor models of the Carro Home smart ceiling fans.
    • Uses 2 AAA batteries (not included)

    We recommend using 3M double-sided adhesive tape for a quick and damage-free installation, or standard countersunk (flat-head) screws to ensure a smooth fit into the cradle. (Avoid round-head screws as they may block the remote).

    How do I pair my carro remote?

    Can the remotes for DC motor fans with lights and without lights be used interchangeably?

    No. The remotes are not interchangeable because the internal wiring configurations are different. Using the wrong remote may cause lighting functions to stop working properly, such as the fan light not turning on. If you are unsure which remote is compatible with your fan, please contact cs@smafan.com.

    How to reset carro ceiling fan remote?

    When you doing the hard resetting procedure, you will need to disconnect the power from the unit entirely. Meaning either the fan needs to be unwired OR by turning off the breaker to the house.

    • After disconnecting the power from the unit, you must wait at least 10 minutes before connecting the power again.
    • After connecting the power, the remote must be paired with the unit again immediately within 20 seconds by holding down the "pair" or "√" button until you get a connection to the fan.
    • You may have to hold down the button for at least 10 seconds before the remote will correctly pair with the fan.

    Can I use one remote to control multiple same-function fans?

    Yes, a single remote can be paired to and control multiple ceiling fans at the same time.However, each fan can only be paired with one remote to prevent signal interference.

    Does the fan remember the last settings when turned off with the remote?

    Only ceiling fans with a power-off memory function can restore the previous settings after being turned off with the remote. When turned back on, the fan will resume the same speed and light settings as before. Standard models without memory will reset to default settings.

    Is the Carro remote compatible with the Smafan 65" Daventry ceiling fan?

    No. It is not compatible. The 65" Daventry model uses a specific black DC remote with a dedicated speed and control system, designed for its large-size configuration. Using a different remote may cause incorrect operation or loss of function. Please use the original matched remote only.
