Essex Ⅱ 56 in Indoor/Outdoor LED Smart Ceiling Fan with Light Remote

Q: Can I reverse the Essex II 56" from the wall switch?

Yes. The Essex II 56" wall switch has a reverse button, so anyone in the house can switch between summer and winter airflow right from the door. The remote and Carro Home app can reverse it too. Run it clockwise on a low speed in winter to push warm air down from the ceiling.

Q: Is the Essex II 56" big enough for a family room?

Yes. The Essex II 56" is rated for rooms over 300 sq ft, such as large living rooms, family rooms and covered patios. Its 10-speed DC motor moves up to 4,450 CFM, and it reaches a maximum of 58 dB only on its top speed, so lower speeds stay quiet.

Q: Will the Essex II 56" keep my settings when I turn it off at the wall?

Yes. The Essex II 56" has Full Power-Off Memory, so when you switch the main power back on at the wall switch, or power returns after an outage, it comes back at your last fan speed, brightness and color temperature.

Q: What does the Essex II 56" wall switch control?

The fan and light on/off, 5 fan speeds, reverse, brightness and 3 color temperatures, plus a main power switch with Full Power-Off Memory. It's hardwired, needs no batteries and no neutral wire in the wall box.

Q: Will the Essex II 56" work on a cathedral ceiling in a family room?

Yes. The Essex II 56" mounts on a cathedral ceiling pitched up to 27° using the angled mount it ships with, so you don't need to buy a separate adapter. On a very tall ceiling, swap the included 4.5" downrod for a longer Carro DC extension downrod, for example 46" for 13 ft, so the breeze reaches the sofa.

Q: Can the Essex II 56" be used outdoors?

Yes, in covered spaces. The Essex II 56" is damp-rated for covered patios, screened porches and balconies, and it works just as well indoors in living and family rooms. Keep it out of direct rain, and install the wall switch in a dry location.

FAQ

Can I reverse the Essex II 56" from the wall switch?
