Aspen Pro Outdoor/Indoor Smart Ceiling Fan with LED Light Remote 60 in

Q: Is the Aspen Pro 60" powerful enough for a great room or large lanai?

Yes. The Aspen Pro 60" is built for spaces over 300 sq ft, such as great rooms, open-plan living areas and large covered lanais. Its 5 blades and 10-speed DC motor move up to 5,000 CFM, and Nature mode varies the speed to feel like a natural breeze. It's damp-rated, so it works indoors and in covered outdoor spaces.

Q: Can the Aspen Pro 60" downrod be cut shorter or joined for a longer drop?

No. The Aspen Pro 60" downrod can't be cut or combined with another rod. It ships with a 4.5" downrod; for higher ceilings, swap it for a single Carro DC extension downrod in the right length, such as 24" for 11 ft or 46" for 13 ft. Use a Carro extended downrod, as other brands may not fit.

Q: Can I install the Aspen Pro 60" on a vaulted porch ceiling?

Yes, on slopes up to 27°. The Aspen Pro 60" is damp-rated for covered porches and installs on angled ceilings with its downrod. On a steeper slope you'll need a separate angled mounting kit, which isn't included. On any slope, a longer downrod gives the 60" blades more clearance from the ceiling and moves more air.

Q: Can I control the Aspen Pro 60" from a wall switch?

Not for speed or light. The Aspen Pro 60" is controlled by its remote, the Carro Home app, or Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri Shortcuts. An on/off switch you already have can only cut or restore its power. Smafan's hardwired wall control isn't sold separately, so if you want one, choose the Aspen II 60", which includes it.

Q: After a storm knocks out power, does the Aspen Pro 60" reset?

No. The Aspen Pro 60" has Power-Off Memory, so after an outage or a tripped breaker it returns to your last fan speed, brightness and color temperature. That's useful on a large covered lanai or porch, where storms can cut power and you'd otherwise have to set the fan and light again from the remote or app.

FAQ

Is the Aspen Pro 60" powerful enough for a great room or large lanai?

Can the Aspen Pro 60" downrod be cut shorter or joined for a longer drop?

Can I install the Aspen Pro 60" on a vaulted porch ceiling?

Yes, on slopes up to 27°. The Aspen Pro 60" is damp-rated for covered porches and installs on angled ceilings with its downrod. On a steeper slope you'll need a separate angled mounting kit, which isn't included. On any slope, a longer downrod gives the 60" blades more clearance from the ceiling and moves more air.

What's the difference between the Aspen Pro 60" and the Aspen II 60"?

The main difference is the wall control. Both have 5 blades, a 10-speed DC motor that moves up to 5,000 CFM, a 1,500-lumen dimmable LED, Power-Off Memory, and remote, app and voice control. The Aspen II 60" adds a hardwired wall control for fan speed, direction and light. If remote and app control are enough, the Aspen Pro 60" is the simpler option.

Can I control the Aspen Pro 60" from a wall switch?

Not for speed or light. The Aspen Pro 60" is controlled by its remote, the Carro Home app, or Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri Shortcuts. An on/off switch you already have can only cut or restore its power. Smafan's hardwired wall control isn't sold separately, so if you want one, choose the Aspen II 60", which includes it.

After a storm knocks out power, does the Aspen Pro 60" reset?

I'm installing two Aspen Pro 60" fans on one lanai. Can they share a remote?

Yes. Pair both fans with one remote at the same time and they'll run together, or pair each fan with its own remote to control them separately. Each fan can pair with only one remote. Once both are in the Carro Home app, you can also control them individually or together from your phone or by voice.
