Modena Flush Mount Modern Ceiling Fan without Light 52 inch

Q: Does the Modena 52" have a light, or does it take bulbs?

Neither. The Modena 52" is a fan-only model with no light kit and no bulb sockets, and a light can't be added later. It's made for rooms that already have recessed or ceiling lights, where you only need airflow. Its 10-speed DC motor and 3 blades sit in a slim flush-mount housing.

Q: Is the gold on the Modena 52" brushed or shiny?

Brushed. The Black Gold option pairs a brushed gold housing with black blades, for a soft metallic look rather than a mirror shine. The White option has a Fresh White housing with white blades. Both suit modern, coastal and transitional rooms, and the 3 blades are made of PP and glass fiber.

Q: Can I use a fan speed control switch instead of the Modena 52" remote?

No. Fan speed controls and dimmers aren't compatible; set all 10 speeds and reverse with the included remote. An on/off switch you already have can cut power, and thanks to Full Power-Off Memory, the Modena 52" returns to your last speed when you switch it back on. Turn off the breaker before wiring, or hire a licensed electrician if you're unsure.

Q: Can I control four Modena 52" fans in one room with one remote?

Yes. Pair all four Modena 52" fans with one remote at the same time and they'll run together, which works well in a large open room. Each fan can pair with only one remote. To control them separately, pair each fan one at a time with only that fan powered on.

Q: What if I lose the Modena 52" remote?

You can order a replacement on Smafan. The Carro Remote Control for non-smart, no-light DC fans pairs with the Modena 52" and comes with a wall mount, so it stays by the door instead of getting lost. Until it arrives, an on/off wall switch can still turn the fan on, and it resumes your last speed thanks to Full Power-Off Memory.

Q: Will the Modena 52" work on an 8 ft ceiling?

Yes. The Modena 52" is a flush-mount fan that measures just 8.9" from the ceiling to its lowest point, so it keeps plenty of headroom in rooms with 8 ft ceilings. It mounts on flat ceilings only, with no downrod option, so it isn't suitable for sloped or vaulted ceilings.

Q: Is the Modena 52" a good fan for a large bedroom?

Yes. The Modena 52" suits rooms of 145–300 sq ft and moves up to 5,070 CFM on its top speed, with 10 speeds to choose from. It uses about 14 W on average, roughly $4 a year, and reaches a maximum of 55 dB, so its lower speeds stay quiet for sleeping.

I bought a smaller model ceiling fan., loved it so much I purchased a second one for my master. Had a bad experience with a seller sending an older model which didn’t have a capability of my first fan. They had great communication following through on ensuring I receive the new model. Even sent a video showing the capability! Shipping was fast. Great value. It’s an awesome fan! Highly recommend.

Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re glad to hear you loved your first fan enough to purchase a second one, and we truly appreciate your patience during the process. We’re happy our team could resolve the issue quickly and clearly, and that everything worked out with the updated model. Enjoy your new fans, and thank you for recommending us!

Thank you for the great review! We're so glad to hear the installation was easy and that the fan looks even better in person. It's great to know you're enjoying the smooth, quiet performance and flexibility of the 10-speed settings. Enjoy your new fan!
