Nephele 60" Solid Wood Ceiling Fan with LED Light and Remote & Wall Control

Q: Is the Nephele II 60" strong enough for a great room?

Yes. The Nephele II 60" is built for rooms over 300 sq ft, such as great rooms, open-plan living areas and bonus rooms. Its 3 solid wood blades and 10-speed DC motor move up to 6,020 CFM, while using about 16 W on average, roughly $4 a year to run. It's rated for dry indoor locations only.

Q: Will the Nephele II 60" wall switch work in an older home without a neutral wire?

Yes. The Nephele II 60" wall switch is hardwired and connects with just two wires: brown to the household hot and black to the fan. Neutral runs straight to the fan, so your wall box doesn't need a neutral, which many older homes lack. The switch never needs batteries. Turn off the breaker before wiring, or hire a licensed electrician if you're unsure.

Q: Can I use the Nephele II 60" remote and wall switch together?

Yes. The Nephele II 60" comes with both a remote and a wall switch, and either one works at any time. The wall switch turns the fan and light on or off, sets 5 fan speeds, reverses direction, dims the light and switches between 3 color temperatures, while the remote gives you all 10 speeds from your chair or bed.

Q: What's the difference between the Nephele II 60" and the Nephele 60"?

The wall control. The Nephele II 60" includes a hardwired wall switch alongside the remote, so you can run the fan and light from the door as well as from your seat. The motor, solid wood blades and 1,500-lumen LED are otherwise shared. If a remote is all you need, the Nephele 60" is the simpler option.

Q: Is the Nephele II 60" light good for reading and cooking?

Yes. The integrated LED gives 1,500 lumens with a CRI of 90+, so colors on food, books and fabrics look natural rather than washed out. It dims and switches between 2700K warm, 3500K natural and 4000K cool light. The 18 W LED is rated for 50,000+ hours, so there are no bulbs to change.

Q: If I turn the Nephele II 60" off at the wall, will it remember my settings?

Yes. The Nephele II 60" has Power-Off Memory, so when you switch the main power back on at the wall switch, or power returns after an outage, it goes back to your last fan speed, brightness and light tone. You don't need to reset anything from the remote.

Q: Can I hang the Nephele II 60" from a vaulted ceiling?

Yes, on slopes up to 27°. The Nephele II 60" includes a 4.5" downrod and a standard and angled mounting system. On a tall or steeply pitched ceiling, add a Carro DC extension downrod, such as 24" for 11 ft or 36" for 12 ft, so the 60" blades have plenty of clearance from the ceiling.
