Trendsetter 44 inch Outdoor Low Profile Smart Fan with LED Light

Q: Is the Trendsetter 44" the right size for a small bedroom?

Yes. The Trendsetter 44" is sized for rooms of 75–144 sq ft, such as a small bedroom, home office or nursery, and moves up to 2,800 CFM across 10 speeds. Its flush mount keeps it close to the ceiling, so it suits rooms with 8 ft ceilings where a larger fan would crowd the space.

Q: Will the Trendsetter 44" cover a 6" recessed light hole?

Yes. The Trendsetter 44" canopy is large enough to cover a standard 6" recessed light opening, once you install a fan-rated electrical box in its place. The fan measures about 12.4" from the ceiling to its lowest point, so it suits rooms with 8 ft ceilings. Turn off the breaker before wiring, or hire a licensed electrician if you're unsure.

Q: Is the Trendsetter 44" light too bright for a small room?

No, because you can turn it down. The Trendsetter 44" LED gives up to 1,915 lumens, and it dims to 10% from the remote or all the way to 1% in the Carro Home app. You can also switch from 2700K warm to 4000K cool, so the same light works for reading or a soft night glow.

Q: What does the Trendsetter II 44" add over the Trendsetter 44"?

A wall control and memory. The Trendsetter II 44" adds a hardwired wall switch and Full Power-Off Memory, and its LED is rated at 2,000 lumens. Both share the same 44" flush-mount design, 2,800 CFM airflow and remote, app and voice control.

Q: Can I install the Trendsetter 44" in a bathroom?

We don't recommend it. The Trendsetter 44" is damp-rated, which suits covered porches, patios and balconies, but a bathroom's steam and condensation can damage the motor and LED over time. It's a better fit for bedrooms, home offices, laundry rooms and covered outdoor spaces.

Q: Can I run the Trendsetter 44" fan with the light off?

Yes. The Trendsetter 44" controls the fan and light separately, so you can run the fan all night with the light off, or use the light without the fan. Press the light button on the remote, or use the Carro Home app or a voice command.

Q: How do I switch the Trendsetter 44" to winter mode?

Press the reverse button on the remote. The Trendsetter 44" DC motor changes direction electronically, so there's no ladder and no switch on the motor housing. Run it clockwise on a low speed in winter to push warm air down from the ceiling, and switch back to counterclockwise for a cooling breeze in summer.

I love these fans. They look prettier than I expected and my handyman said the installation was no problem at all. I especially like that they are fully sealed around the motor and the light so no bugs can get in. They are so quiet you cannot hear them at all; they are well-balanced and do not rock or wobble. The remote is convenient. I get compliments on these fans all the time - they look elegant on my porch and they make such a difference in the temperature! Would recommend them highly!
